For the autumn and winter time we sometimes opt for the darker shades… Like black! Although it’s easy to pair with greys and whites doing an all black ensemble can be tricky.
The main way to make an outfit that’s all one particular shade is playing with textures. Not only does it break up the outfit from looking so blocky and heavy it just looks more appealing to the eye. My base piece is the Monki Shirt Dress that is a cotton fabric with the woollen coat layered on top. Try playing with different shapes and lengths are well as that always helps an outfit look more flattering.
You’re all probably sick of seeing my Rebecca Minkoff Mini Perry Satchel but it’s a bag that I always go too. I love the way the texture of the leather plays against the plain leather of my Sol Sana Boots from Soho Boutique. These boots are SO flattering on the leg, easy to walk in and the perfect boot that has a little bit of a heel without being crazy so you can wear them daily without any trouble. A pair of boots that everyone should look into… They also come in a gorgeous taupe that I’m eyeing up.
It’s not overly hard to wear all back but it is important to keep in mind texture and shape so you aren’t left feeling like a blob!
What I’m wearing: Monki Shirt Dress (I suggest sizing down as I’m wearing a small) | Miss Shop Coat (not current) | Rebecca Minkoff Mini Perry Satchel | Sol Sana Boots

Thank you so much Nat!
Such beautiful pictures Sarah :)
I love wearing all black or just a lot of black in general and using different textures as well to change things up a little. I think pairing something sheer black with something more opaque is such a simple but classic look.

Thanks Julia! Isaac did a great job shooting… Slowly getting used to working together.
You are looking oh so stylish!! I love the boots! I definitely think the mixture textures is the way to go with going all black. I try not to wear all black these days - mainly due to my white cat! His fur is stuck on almost every piece of clothing!

Thanks Kat! The boots haven’t left my feet since I got them amazing!!!! Don’t worry we had a lint roller on this shoot because of Simba’s hair being everywhere lol!!
Girl, you’re rocking it. I love the bag!
