TIPS FOR TRYING OUT THE SHEER TREND

We’ve seen the likes of mega babes Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid and of course all the big name bloggers killing it when it comes to the sheer trend. If you’re anything like me then you’ve been swooning and then wondered ‘how the fuck does anyone normal who doesn’t want to show their nips wear that’ and then I found this piece….

This particular top is the Amy Mesh Top from IDS and let me tell you it’s even more beautiful in real life. It’s essentially a normal cami, so your boobs and stomach are completely covered, with a mesh layer that has splits up the side. Not only is it ticking the box with the trend thing it also is uber comfortable. You can wear a normal bra and not freak out that your nips are out – win!

When it comes to trying out the mesh/sheer trend I think it’s important to play with layers because of the sheer element. It’s fairly warm here still so I went with my Nobody Denim Skyline Shorts and the contrast between lengths is super fun. I wasn’t planning on wearing the leather jacket but I love the way it gave another texture to the outfit. Remember when wearing all black texture and materials really make all the difference!

This cami would also look incredible layered over a graphic white tee with some skinny jeans and converse. It is dramatic but you can really work it into your everyday because it’s not super over the top and crazy like some other offerings I’ve spotted around the place. Don’t forget to have fun and it’s all about adapting pieces into your personal style.

What I’m wearing: Amy Mesh Top from IDS (size 8) | Nobody Denim Skyline Shorts (size 26) | Topshop Jacket (not current) | Betts Ryder Tote Bag (sold out) |

Have you tested out the sheer trend?
