The Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipsticks are everywhere at the moment. The uber matte, pigmented range consists of a good range of wearable colours as well as some bright, in-your-face crazy colours as well. I’ve managed to get my hands on some of the range and done a little swatch post for you guys. Hopefully I’ll be able to swatch the rest of the range soon for you!

Zoeva not only do make up tools – they do make up! How awesome is that? Sometimes when a brand ventures into another aveune of products people can be skeptical, I know I was, however I’ve been pleasantly surprised.

THE WEEKLY NOTES #12 spring cleaning, going vegetarian & being sick

This past week I’ve spent almost the whole week in bed resting with a cold, I’ve started spring cleaning and Isaac & I have gone vegetarian.

I recently took a 2-week trip to Japan. On the agenda was to find delicious Tempura (fried food), Okonomiyaki (Japanese pancake), experience an Onsen (hot spring bath) and so some mountainous hiking. But the very top of my list (and please don’t judge me on this), was to pick up some world-class Japanese artisan brushes from makers Hakuhodo as well as Chikuhodo.

A new collection from MAC is the MAC x Brooke Candy which is a collaboration with a rapper Brooke Candy (I hadn’t heard of her before… Does that make me uncool? It’s a fun deep, vampy sort of collection consisting of two lipstick and a liquid liner. Here are my thoughts on the two lipsticks :)

Over the past year I’ve started really investing in my shoes because I hate not being comfortable. It sounds strange but that’s the only reason why I’ve started seeking good quality shoes over a $20 pair on flats. When I say ‘higher end’ I’m not talking designer shoes because let’s be honest that’s just not where I’m at in my life but shoes ranging for $200-$800. It’s still alot of money!
