If you’re not moisturising in the morning. Why? Not only does it protect the skin but it also ensures that everything is smooth, protected and helps make up apply better lasting longer throughout the day. Here are 4 of my faves.
We’ll kick it off with the Skinstitut Moisture Defence Normal Skin it’s the only one that doesn’t contain SPF which I don’t mind because generally I opt for this on a day at home or when I’m not going to be outside very much. It’s a gel based moisturiser that really hydrates the skin and smoothes over any rough areas. I’ve been through 2 tubes of this already this year and love it! Cannot recommend it enough. As I said the only negative is you do have to layer it with a separate SPF. I like to use the ASAP Moisturising Daily Defence over the top because it’s such a light formulation. It’s SPF 50 UVA/UVB and is beautiful alone or over another moisturiser. It doesn’t have an offensive smell or texture either which is always a win!
The Jurlique Sun Specialist SPF 40+ that released last year is still a firm favourite. I prefer to use this when I have drier skin because it does have a super hydrating and thick formulation. If you have oily skin this maybe something to give a miss because it is so rich. I generally only use this when my skin is dry! The After Sun Lotion from this line is gorgeous too! For combination/oily skinned girls the Clarins SPF 50+ is a fantastic one as it’s very lightweight. It does have a stronger scent too it but not an SPF scent… More of a floral to coverage the SPF but it’s nice and it doesn’t irritate my skin. It’s very light, easy to work in and sinks in well. Another fab option for SPF’s.
