Finding products that will help reduce, maintain and combat pimples whilst being gentle can be hard. You want something that’ll nip that pesky sucker right away BUT you don’t want to be left with a reaction or that horrible dry patch. Here are four products I’ve been really enjoying when my skin is looking a little worse for wear.

La Roche-Posay Serozinc
This Zinc Sulfate Solution is amazing at really refreshing, soothing and reducing any inflammation in the skin. Although it’s a multi-purpose product that can be used in everything from the face, razor burn and nappy rash I find myself only reaching for this in the morning as my toner. It’s not a product that you will apply and instantly feel like something is happening but when you cease use you’ll notice your skin not feeling or looking as clear. It’s just a product that works without any noticeable tingling or reaction in the skin… Does that make sense?

Kiehl’s Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque

You all know my love for the Borghese mask however I do find that one quite intense and it does leave my skin feeling a little too dry and sore. This one from Kiehl’s is great because it deeply cleanses, purifies and helps reduce the size of pores without being super harsh. The best part? It’s so easy to remove – yay! This is great for anyone who gets hormonal breakouts and/or suffers for lots of congestion because it really draws out impurities in the skin.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+

Yes I’m mentioning this again because there isn’t a serum that beats it. Applied as a spot treatment under your moisturiser of choice this helps reduce, maintain and fasten the whole pimple process. It also really helps fade any scars or light marks that you may have left over post breakout which is great for me because that’s something I’ve struggled with in the past. You all know about this one so I won’t bore you but seriously guys go buy it!

Medik8 Pore Refining Toner

After finishing my Dermalogica Toner that has Witch Hazel and Aloe Vera in I never replaced it in my evening routine until this one arrived. I like these balancing toners because they’re so gentle on the skin but help to prevent breakouts and clear any that are active. If there is something that is always consist out of these products it’s this because no matter where I am cycle wise it helps my skin! A fantastic all-rounder.

I actually haven’t tried any of these yet. I don’t get too many pimples but during stressful periods they tend to pop up, so may need to invest xx
