3 POUT COSMETIC LIPSTICKS TO TRY

Pout Cosmetics is a Victorian owned business with a store front in Albury offering everything beauty from tutorials, one on one sessions and make up artistry services for special occasion. Their own cosmetics line is stocked in the finest boutiques all over Australia with their online store making it available direct to you as well. How do their lipsticks measure up?

My first impression wasn’t the best as the shade I was most excited about ‘Lover’ a muted purple/mauve did come damaged making it a little difficult to apply. Given these were gifted to us it’s not a deal-breaker however a little disappointing upon opening the bullets. Lover was the first shade I put to the test and the damage did make it apply a little chunky until the bullet evened out but colour is stunning. A perfect everyday shade with the right balance of that mauve hue making not a statement but not undetectable on the lips. The other matte shade I’ve been trialling is ‘Pandora’ which is a much deeper statement red reminding me a bit of MAC Diva but slightly lighter. It’s gorgeous on the lips and as with most deeper shades does require a lip liner to get that super crisp line. The last shade I was gifted was from a cream finish and the shade ‘Cilla’ is not something I would pick or typically wear however once worked into the lips the nude shade gives my lips a lovely peachy hue which I do like.

Formulation wise both the matte and cream finishes feel quite thick when first applied but not heavy or uncomfortable on the lips. The matte formulation is creamy enough to apply directly from the bullet with ease and the velvet-y finish lasts well throughout the day. They can feel a little drying throughout the day as with all matte lipsticks so make sure to top up and carry lip balm to save your lips! As for the cream finish it’s super pigmented and creamy so spend some time working the colour into your lips for optimal wear time!

All in all the Pout Cosmetics lipsticks are definitely a line I would recommend. The colours are gorgeous, long-lasting and comfortable to wear. I would recommend proper lip prep and care when wearing the mattes however apart from that they’re a great line that are ones to watch. For those wondering all Pout Cosmetic products are paraben, fragrance and cruelty free as well as being noncomedogenic.

Yes they totally do look like LM! It was a shame however the PR lady I work with is a friend and she was pretty upset I didn’t say anything so now I feel bad! They were wanting to send me a replacement ASAP – A+ for customer service. xxx
