Cleaning your make up tools is one of those jobs most people cringe at or put off for longer than we care to admit. Am I right? Well recently I’ve discovered a really quick routine that’ll have you cleaning those brushes once a week instead of once a month stat!

There are two tools that will make your life easier. The first is the beauty blender cleanser which is a solid soap and the second is the Real Techniques Brush Cleansing Palette which is a recent release in Australia. The solid cleanser is like no other, it deeply cleanses the brushes without drying them out or leaving a residue. The design of the packaging makes it really easy to simply dip your brush into the pot then go about cleansing the brush. It works well for beauty blenders as well however I’ve found it does cause the dye to fade quicker.. Or is that just me?

The Real Techniques Brush Cleansing Palette is the most ergonomic design for one of these cleansing tools that I’ve seen on the market. It’s large enough to cover the palm of your hand but isn’t too bulky that it makes it impossible to use. All you do is whip your brushes around on this bad boy a few times and the product is released. Don’t worry it’s gentle and the different textures are there for a reason – only use the smaller bumps on those really special or fragile brushes.

These two together are a dream match and it really makes cleaning your brushes super fast!

OMGoodness! This is FAB! I had no idea that RT palette was a thing and now, I NEED IT! I always hate washing my bushes because I’m worried I’m ruining them with my palm or bowl and they never clean properly anyway so now, I’ve decided I need this thing and YEP. Great! Brill!

Wow so many people have been blogging about the beauty blender cleanser lately, myself included. It’s been my go to cleanser for at least the past half year or more. It does a superb job at getting every last bit of makeup out. I do think there’s some sort of whitening/bleaching agent in it cause my beauty blender still bleeds pink a little when I use it. It also gets all my brushes looking as white as they can be – although I guess I’m not really complaining all too much. I have a sample of the beauty blender cleansing liquid so I’m excited to give that a go to compare how well it cleans!

I have the BB solid cleanser and I use it alternating with the Daiso one. It’s quite nice and it lasts for ages. The RT brush cleaning matt looks much better than the other types I’ve seen on the market. If I had heaps of brushes to clean, I would get this!

It’s so handy. I never wash too many at once but I have really sensitive hands (sounds weird but it’s a thing) so I like using this as opposed to my palm to avoid any sore/red bits :)
