3 EYE CREAMS WORTH INVESTING IN

3-eye-creams

Applying eye cream is a step some skip however it’s something I’ve been in the habit of doing for the past three years as I find it really helps with problems I may have in the area like dryness and dehydration lines. Although the results aren’t always instant with persistence you can really notice a difference with the application of concealer and the general health of the area (promise!). Today I wanted to share the three eye creams I’m a huge fan of and would recommend investing in.

Jurlique Nutri-Define Eye Contour Cream
The Nutri-Define line from Jurlique is one I’ve continually been using since it launched and have repurchased numerous items from the range. This was a product they added to the line at the beginning of this year and it’s a really fantastic, high quality eye cream. I’m not a huge fan of products in pots (as I frequently tell you guys) but it’s super hard to find eye creams that are rich in a squeeze tube so I’ll allow it. It comes with a metal roller ball applicatior but feels so cooling and refreshing on the eye area. It’s a shame Simba ate mine. The ingredients list is dreamy with, what Jurlique call their Bosomed technology, horseradish, rosemary, peppermint, mulberry root and glycogen that all work together to help improve the skins firmness and brighten the area. The consistency of the eye cream is divine – very thick and a little goes a long way. This is my night time eye cream and I can say since I started using it my eye area is less puffy and dark in the morning.

Medik8 Hydr8 Night Cream
Although this one is described as a night eye cream I’m cheeky and do use it in the morning however I do ensure that I use a high factor SPF because this product has vitamin A (retinol) in it. I find this cream a little lighter than the Jurlique hence why I opt for using it in the morning however if you’re not a fan of super thick creams it maybe a better option for you. This product is a relatively new release so I can’t say I’ve yet had any long lasting differences appear but the formulation is really beautiful. It absorbs quickly and I don’t have to worry about it distributing my make up.

L’Occitane Immortelle Eye Care & Mask Duo
Upon doing this post and trying to find a link online I haven’t been able to locate it on an Australian retailer so if it is discontinued – I’M SORRY! This was a product I was sent before last Christmas and I fell in love with at first use. It’s a gel consistency, unlike the other two creams, and it really cools the area then melts into the skin. I actually use this as a night cream 1-2 times a week because it is so refreshing! I would recommend this one for people who struggle with puffiness if you can get your hands on it.

Have you tried any of these products? What were your thoughts?

  • I’m so lazy when it comes to eye cream, but I’m trying to get better… usually because my concealer just doesn’t look as nice if the area isn’t hydrated haha! The Jurlique and Medik8 eye creams sound great – I will save this post as I’m due to shop for a new eye cream soon! x
