Six months ago you wouldn’t have caught me dead in a little cami dress. Maybe I was a bit of a prude or maybe I was just caught in a streamline ‘that-is-not-my-style’ mindset. Either way looking back I was silly because these things are the best.

This particular one was gifted to me from Tobi.com/au, and I have a few posts coming up featuring their items, what I like most about the pieces is that they’re all so simple and versatile. The Tobi Georgie Choker Shift Dress when you first look at it looks like a super dressy, party piece but it’s so easy to wear everyday! It’s all about how you style the piece.

A little cami shift dress is perfect for that super on-trend layered look – one of the trends I think shouldn’t be called ‘a trend’ because dude people have been doing it for years… Regardless it’s a cool look that takes your more night time or formal appropriate pieces and makes them wearable throughout the day.

If you’re concerned about trying it out I would stick to a monochromatic colour palette and if you feel like some colour add it through your make up or accessories. It just means you’ll be able to ease yourself into it!

What I’m wearing: Tobi Georgie Choker Shift Dress | Elroy Eyewear Harper in Mauve | Nude Lucy Tee (not current) | Converse All Star White | Mac Ruby Woo

Have you tried the cami trend?

I’m so with you on this. I was definitely stuck in a “they’re not my style/don’t suit my body shape” mindset about them but after seeing them around so much I picked one up and love wearing it with a white t-shirt underneath when I just want something really casual and easy to throw on, and it’s inspired me to try and get out of my comfort zone a bit more.

Are we twins?! How incredible is when you try something and you’re like ‘fuck why did it take me so long to try it?’ haha!
