I first spotted this whole d-ring trend on a beautiful Shona Joy dress. It was love. At $290 for no apparent event, it was a cocktail dress, I just could justify it. Then I spotted this hoodie and I just couldn’t resist.
This hoodie was a whole $75 from IDS Fashion – you can find it online here – and I know that’s slightly more expensive for a hoodie. The thing is I work from home 3 days a week and I live in jumpers, trackies and PJ-like things. On a side note I ALWAYS change out of my PJ’s and put a bra on because it boosts my productivity. I digress! The point is I’m a comfort gal and instead of wearing Isaac’s jumper from six years ago I was actually looking to buy some cute jumpers I could actually leave the house in when I spotted this bad boy.
The thing about the d-ring trend is I’m fairly certain it’s going to be one of those trends that disappears pretty damn quickly BUT it’s a small detail that’ll mean you can wear items far beyond the length of the trend. For me the slightly fluted sleeve and subtle cut out with the ring is just COOL! It suits my lifestyle not my fantasy lifestyle and I couldn’t be happier with it.
I’ve linked some other cool, d-ring pieces below. When shopping for trend lead pieces always ask yourself if the trend fades will you still love it before purchasing! For some more dramatic pieces it may be a huge HELL NO so consider the price/cost per wear people.
