Who else remembers when Topshop did those printed jeans that everyone and their mum had? I do. But I was too scared to try a printed jean. I then spotted these bad boys so I thought I’d give them ago.
The hardest part about prints on pants… Or tops actually! Is find a print that is flattering and doesn’t make you look bigger. A good print will slim line, in this case, your legs and these Solito Aztec Jeans do exactly that! The print is faded slightly so it’s not over the top and the way the pattern runs down the leg makes your legs look that little bit longer which I definitely appreciate.
Another aspect to consider is the cut. These ones are a slim straight leg cut which I wasn’t sure I’d like but the stretch in them means they’re just a more comfortable version of a skinny leg and that I like. Straight leg jeans are such a great everyday cut so if you haven’t tried on a pair do it! I promise you will not regret it.
Styling a printed pant can be so so so SO bloody hard but for me I decided to keep everything else super simple. This is what I always do when I’m unsure of what the heck to wear with a particular item. My trusty white shirt, leather jacket and boots combination comes out to play. I think when you’re trying something for the first time it is SO important to team the item back with things you feel really comfy in. That way you still feel like you…. Just with a new added twist!
