It’s common to hear alot of amazing things about expensive hair styling products but there are some absolute gems in the pharmacy. Here are 5 suggestions to pick up when you’re next in Priceline.
John Frieda Luxurious Volume Dry Shampoo
This is a relatively new product to me but one I’ve been really enjoying over the past week. It’s unique because when sprayed it doesn’t release lots of powder so it can be tricky applying at first. It does work really well at absorbing oils and I do think that it gives your hair volume, no more then regular dry shampoos, but it does offer some good texture.
David Babaii Boho Beach Spray
If you’ve never used a beach spray then you have to buy this one. Beach sprays added an amazing texture to hair that makes you look like a boho babe. Some people find them a little drying but personally I spray only lightly through dry hair and find I don’t have an issue. I think the key to a good beach spray is the spray nozzle, it has to release a really fine spray which is exactly what this one does.
Toni & Guy Rough Texturiser
Fine hair girls – say hello to your new BFF. This stuff gives you an extra boost of volume and texture so you’ll never feel like your hair is limp or flat again. I spray this throughout my roots and lengths daily and it just lifts my hair. This one doesn’t offer too much hold so it doesn’t build up in your hair and it has a matt finish so it’s not going to look like you’ve used any product at all. Trust me, once you try a texturising spray you’ll never look back!
Lee Stafford Flat Iron Protection Mist
In my eyes there isn’t a better heat protection mist out there. I have had alot of problems with other heat protectors saturating the hair so much I have to wait to style – with this one it dries instantly. It’s a super fine mist with a delightful scent and I can’t really fault the product. The jury is still out on whether this protection mists actually help protect the hair as any hot tool you use is going to cause damage no matter what but I still think incorporating one into your routine isn’t going to do any harm.
Paul Mitchell Ultimate Wave Beachy Texture Cream-Gel
Before finding this I really didn’t love my hair when it was freshly washed. It was limp, hard to style and so damn flat. Putting a little of this cream through the ends my of flat hair when damp has literally changed my hair styling life. Now I’m able to style it on day one and the more days you leave it without washing the better your hair looks (if you’re into textured, wavy curls). Even if your hair isn’t wavy naturally applying this will give it some extra grit and texture to it which will make styling on day one so much easier!
