There are some days when you roll out of bed late and the last thing you feel like doing is putting on make up. Am I right? Well these shadows are ones that’ll take a quick swipe across the lids to make you look put together and the best part is they’re all super affordable!
We’ll start off with cream shadows and I think that creams shadows from the pharmacy are great in terms of quality. The cult classic Maybelline Colour Tattoos have been raved about by many and my favourite shade is the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in ‘Inked In Pink’. This is the kind of shade when you want to go a little fancy with something different but nothing crazy like blue. It gives a gorgeous silvery pink sheen to the eye without appearing like ‘too much’. Another favourite is the Maxfactor Excess Shimmer in ‘Bronze’ - groundbreaking name there! I absolutely love this one blended over the lid and up into the crease because it gives that illusion of more than one shadow. It’s very pigmented and blendable for a cream shadow and I can easily say it’s my favourite formulation of cream shadow in the pharmacy. Both of these do require a light dusting of a translucent powder to ensure they stay put, or if you have oily lids like me a primer as well, but they’re really fantastic products to look into.
More shadows from Maxfactor that are perfect for a quick one sweep are these Wild Pots Shadows in ‘Burnt Bark’ and ‘Pale Pebble’. The first is a gorgeous neutral taupe that when blended into the crease you can a multidimensional look which makes it appear as though you made a real effort. Gorgeous colour and the formulation of these is incredible for the affordable price. The other shadow looks super boring and well, it is however a cream matte shade is such an essential for me. I have visible discolouration on my lids so often I want to mute that out but not put anything creamy (damn oily eyelids) or coloured… You know those no-makeup-makeup days? This is perfect for that and will mute out any discolouration on the lids. It’s also great for a base!
The last product is a great option to have in the handbag for taking a day look to night. Say you’ve blended a simple taupe like the Maxfactor Wild Pot Shadow in ‘Burnt Bark’ into the crease simply adding this L’oreal Infallible Shadow in ‘Tender Caramel’ onto the centre of the lid with your finger instantly jazzes up the look. These are gorgeous, shimmery products and one you can easily apply with the fingers.

I am so in love with everything in this post. I don’t own any of these shades (I have a few color tatoos and infallible eyeshadows) but I clearly need them all. I’ve been all about the easy makeup as of late and have been reaching for these types of products quite often.

Absolutely love the L’Oreal Infallible shadows - they have such amazing pigmentation.
Definitely agree with the Max Factor Wild Pot Shadows - my favourite is the shade ‘Auburn Envy’ and is a taupy-bronze and is amazing if you have green eyes. Easily looks like two blended shadows on the lid :)
