I don’t know about you but I find my hair is the driest when summer rolls around. It’s hard to tame, crispy and it calls for some serious TLC. Here are 4 hair products that will really help defrizz and hydrate your locks.

Hair oils are a go-to for me year round but in the summer it’s an absolute must-have. At the moment I’m trying and using Natura Siberica Oblepikha Oil Complex which is probably the best smelling hair product I’ve EVER used. It’s so so so fresh and almost fruity in scent. It’s a great one for the warmer months because it’s slight super light in texture. I find I use about 4 drops on my mid lengths every time I wash my hair and it really does make my hair soft, smooth and more manageable. Even though I’ve only been using it a week or two I can see if being my oil of choice right through summer. So the Natura Siberica I keep in my bathroom using a night on damp here but when I wake up in the morning and go to do my hair  I generally do that at my vanity. The Fudge Light Hed-ed Hair Oil is what I’ve been using at my vanity to defrizz and hydrate further. It’s pretty ace. Although the applicator as a spray is not my favourite, I tend to spray onto my palm then apply, this does wonders. It’s a dry oil so once you apply it doesn’t leave your hair looking or feeling oily and it really helps defrizz, tame and hydrate.

Going back to washing and every 3 washes I tend to opt for a mask over a conditioner to really help boost my locks hydration. The Natura Siberica Oblepika Mask is an amazing one for really dry, damaged hair like mine because it’s fairly intense. You only need the smallest scoop, this tub will last forever, and it really is such an deeply nourishing treatment. So far I’ve used it twice and after both uses my hair looked super smooth and felt really soft. Last up is a weird one…. I really didn’t think that this would make as much as a difference but it’s just an awesome product. The Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Moisture Mist is a really unique product because it’s literally just a hydrating spray. You wouldn’t think it would do much but it really helps to defrizz and tame. It’s such a good one for day 2 or 3 hair when things are looking a little ratty. I apply this before bed and pop my hair in a plait then when I wake up my hair is smooth – amazing!

PSA: we have an AWESOME giveaway over on Instagram at the moment in collaboration with Natura Siberica. If you want to try the mask, oil PLUS a shampoo & conditioner duo please head over and check it out. The pack will have your hair sorted for summer :)

I can’t say my hair is drier in the summer because, to be quite honest, it’s dry 12 months of the year! We’re heading into Winter here in Canada and I’ll definitely be looking into deep conditioning masks and hydrating products!
