HOW TO: A QUICK, LOW MANTAINENCE CHRISTMAS LOOK

On Christmas there is always that battle between looking put together but also being super comfortable, especially if you’re up early or travelling. Here is a few tips and tricks on how I get the perfect balance.

For me I always like to keep my base super simple because I don’t have the patience to be blending in contouring creams or anything fancy like that. Generally I’ll opt for a more dewy base so if we do end up getting family photos I look nice and fresh (generally our family Christmas morning is a 5:30am wake up call so I need all the help I can get). The Clarins Beauty Flash Balm is AMAZING for super radiant complexion, alone, with a foundation over top or mixed together. In the picture above I just mixed it with the Maxfactor Skin Luminizer Foundation. It gives more of a sheer coverage that way so if you still want a super flawless look opt for applying foundation as it’s own layer rather then mixing it in. I then added highlighter using The Balm Mary Lou Manizer and a bit of blush using Mac Tenderlig. Simple but perks up the skin amazingly!

If you feel like you need to give your eyes a bit of shape take a bit of bronzer through the crease but for me I don’t mind so much so I just added a highlight using the Youngblood Pressed Shadow in Pink Diamond to my inner corner then lining the upper lash line with Maybelline Hyper Sharp Liner. I probably wouldn’t do either of those steps on the day but I feel like adding those 2-3 things to your eyes really makes a huge difference. Less is more… Right? I added a good coat of the L’oreal Butterfly Wings Mascara then the Brow Plumper through my brows and called it a day!

For lips I’m wearing the L’oreal Mercier Lip Paint in Sun Dance which I do plan to wear on the day although if you want something even less maintenance I would just opt for a tinted lip balm!

The Clarins beauty flash balm sounds amazing, I’m always looking for ways to amp up the radiance in my complexion (<there's a sentence I never thought I'd write!).

Depending on what I do for christmas, I usually like to play up my eyes and then keep the lips really simple. I don't want anything coming between me and my christmas foods, haha.

I love the HyperSharp liner over the Master Precise now. Such a good product! I think I’m going with a red stain on the lips this year. I wore the Revlon gloss stain last night out for dinner and it held up quite well.

Thanks Bec! I’m luckily blessed with pretty good natural lashes and with the help of Revitalash last year they’ve come a long way :)
