TBX – or The Beauty Exchange – is a new brand to Ry.com.au and when I spotted the unique concept there was a part of me that was curious to try out the brand. Not only is it a hygienic way to store your brushes but it looks uber cute on your vanity – win!
The most obvious item is that metal, magnetic brush holder which is designed to be the hub where all your TBX products are stored. I like the idea of it and it’s hygienic, convenient and makes spotting your brushes easy (especially if you have minimal brushes) but this system just isn’t for me due to the volume of my existing collection. If I was just start out it would be great because I could only buy into this particular brand but with an already overflowing collection this is more of a hinderance on my make up stand. For those who are just start out or want to keep their brushes in an orderly fashion this would be a fabulous option.
In terms of the brush I really enjoy the fan brush, stippling brush and small eyeshadow shader but I was gifted a few, like the foundation paddle brush, that I just don’t typically use. For the price I really do recommend the brushes as I find them comparable to the likes of Real Techniques and Zoeva – both brands I’ve always highly recommended in the past.
The brand not only do brushes but also a range of make up bags and kit appropriate items like a bib and tissues. I like the clear brand identity that they’ve developed by offering a range of tools that are affordable without trying to do lots of different elements. If you’re on the hunt for some great tools I do think it’s a brand that will slowly become more and more popular due to the affordable price and fantastic quality. For me moving forward I’d perhaps opt for buying individual brushes and keeping them with my other main collection rather then in the brush stand so hopefully we see the range expand in time.
Have you tried TBX? What were your thoughts?
