5 PRODUCTS TO PICK UP THIS WEEKEND

5-products-to-pick-up-this-weekend

Weekends are where I’m often caught browsing the shops and buying things that I’ve made a mental note about during the week… I’m sure I’m not alone. I wanted to share some of our favourite beauty buys today to help enable you when you’re weekend shopping. #sorrynotsorry

1. Laura Mercier Candleglow Soft Luminous Foundation
What a great foundation release! I wasn’t sure if I would love this one with my combination/oily skin however right now when it’s acting up and going crazy I’m finding it really helps boost the radiance about my skin. The packaging is great, it gives a medium coverage and it does last well throughout the day (if you’re all about the glow!). I’m still testing out what application is best and different pairings with primers/powders but expect a full progressive review very soon!

2.Dermalogica Hydrablur Primer
Speaking of primers if you’ve been unhappy with your current primer or you’re searching for a newbie the latest release from Dermalogica is seriously good. Somehow it REALLY smoothes over the skin and fills in any pores without feeling cakey or dry. It’s an interesting texture as it almost has some grit about it but once smoothed on it’s nothing but silky to touch with a matte finish. This is a primer you can rely on to prolong the wear of your foundation and keep you looking fresh throughout the day. Enough gushing – it’s awesome and one you should definitely check out.

3.Benefit Dandelion Shy Beam
This is a very unique product because it’s a matte highlighter! The nude-pink radiance highlighter is designed to give you a natural looking highlight without the shimmer. It is such an interesting product I couldn’t wait to get it on my cheeks and it definitely lived up to the hype. Generally for day-to-day I don’t wear highlighter because I prefer a more natural finish but this allows me to add dimension and glow without any shimmer. I really love the applicator and it blends seamlessly into the skin. It’s not a product for those wanting an intense The Balm Mary-Lou but it’s a refreshing change to the highlighter market.

4.Lanolips Tinted Lip Ointments
I won’t go on about these because I talk about and recommend Lanolips all the time. Recently my lips have taken a turn for the worse becoming very dry and flakey. I have quite uneven lip colour thanks to past coldsores (oh the glamour) so I’m pretty self conscious when I’m not wearing a lipstick. Instead of trying to wear lipstick over my dry lips I have been using these and it’s been so damn handy. I can apply a thick layer which adds colour but it also really helps soothe and treat the lips. If you’re looking for something that’s comfy and not going to damage your lips further check these out!

5.The Body Shop Passionfruit Line
Recently Passionfruit has been added to TBS’s scent line up and while I was checking out yesterday they have a deal where you can add either a body butter or shower gel at 50% off when you spend over $30. We decided to grab a shower gel because we go through shower gel like it’s nobodies business and I absolutely love the scent! Go have a sniff and tweet us what you think :)

I’m very interested in Benefit’s expansion of the Dandelion line. I think Shy Beam might be too dark for me! I am really that pale. But I’m interested in the other product, I think it’s a primer?
