WHAT WE WEAR #5

Lately I’ve been really enjoying a lighter lip shade, bronzed eyes and skin. It’s a bit different to my usual look but you know that feeling when you need to change it up for a while? I needed to shake things up!

For my skin I’ve been really enjoying the combination of the NARS Pro Prime Pore Refining Primer and the L’oreal Infallible Mattifying Foundation. This foundation lots of you are asking about and I do have a review coming but I haven’t seen it in store yet so I’m waiting until then. The primer definitely helps reduce the appearance of pores however it doesn’t have that typical texture of a pore refining primer. The foundation is good but I don’t know if I’m in love with it but more on that in the next week or so – promise! I set everything with my usual Australia Ready Set Go Finishing Powder to mattify the skin and keep everything in place.

Onto eyes and I recently pulled out the Stila Eyeshadow Trio in ‘Gilded’ which was a gift for Christmas that had been lost in my collection. I used the lightest shade on the lid and a tiny bit of the darkest shade throughout the crease. I actually cannot believe the wear of these shadows! They lasted all day without creasing or fading. Of course I had used the NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base however the quality of these shadows are definitely incredible and I’d highly recommend checking them out! I tight-lined with the Physicians Formula Sexy Booster Eyeliner and finished off the eyes with a combination of the Colour Theory Waterproof Mascara and Maxfactor Masterpiece Transform Mascara. You guys all know how I feel about the Maxfactor offering but I have to say that Colour Theory mascara is pretty darn good for the price as well! My brows were tamed with the L’oreal Brow Artist Plumper. I just opened a new one and the difference is insane… Whoops.

My bronze-y cheek look I’ve been loving is started off with the Physicians Formula Bronze Boosting Bronzer in Light/Medium and then followed up with a dusting of the The Balm Cindy Lou Manizer on the apples of cheeks. I love the subtle glow that isn’t too pink. I don’t know why I’m just preferring that look at the moment.

On my lips I’m wearing MAC Creme Cup an oldie but a goodie – how amazing is this colour? The formulation is stunning, moisturising and creamy but it still lasts fairly well on the lips.

I don’t have a post on it but I have planned out some behind the scenes type posts to come in the next month because I get a lot of questions about it :) will tweet you when they go live but I used a mix of artificial light and natural in these photos xx

Your skin always looks sooo good with foundation. Mine just looks bleurgh, I can never get it looking flawless! Every bump is always accentuated, no matter what foundation I use -_- or maybe that’s because I’m looking for them :P Love the look! And Creme cup is so lovely on you, I really like it but it can wash me out a bit.

Beautiful look, everything is so polished but natural and effortless as well, nothing too heavy :) You reminded me I should pay more attention to my MAC Creme Cup – it’s been neglected! Your skin is looking great – must keep an eye out for that L’Oreal foundation when it hits the shops here, it’s been getting so much hype! theBalm’s Cindy Lou Manizer is firmly on my wishlist!
