PLACES TO EAT AS A VEGO/VEGAN IN MELBOURNE

Someone commented on an Instagram post asking where the best places are too eat when visiting Melbourne as a vegetarian. As some of you will know we’ve been vegetarian for a few years and now are transitioning to being vegan so I wanted to share three that I think are a must visit.

Smith & Daughters
This is TOTALLY cheating because I’ve never eaten there yet but it’s one of the most highly recommended places to us. Our friends that eat meat rave about the menu, especially the pulled ‘pork’, and we’re dying to go there. It has an incredible menu and I’ve just ordered the cookbook so I’ll report back how the recipes are. Regardless those who have recommended it to us I trust so it would be an ace one to try.
COMBI
Think delicious healthy, raw food and that was COMBI is so if you’re feeling like eating out but don’t want to have a ‘treat’ as such this is the place to go. They do amazing smoothie bowls and raw treats but we’ve had lunch there as well. I had the raw pizza and Isaac had a burger – both incredible!
Sister of Soul
We visited just last weekend and I was slightly worried because some people had been NASTY on their Facebook page. I’m happy to report all accounts on service and food was ace! I had the Nachos, Isaac the burger and we shared some dumplings. We just missed out as I seen on their Insta they’ve now added ramen that looks incredible… A good excuse for a trip back! Oh they have a HUGE menu so good luck picking what to have haha.

Where do you love eating as a vego or vegan? Leave me suggestions below!

I’m not a vegan but I think incorporating more vegan options into a normal diet can be really beneficial (both for the environment and for my health) so I’m definitely saving these! This post will definitely come in handy once I move to Melbourne (would love to try Sister of Soul), thanks for sharing! x

I haven’t been to Smith & Daughters but I’ve been to Smith & Deli and it’s SO GOOD. My boyfriend is obsessed with them, haha. I also love the Cornish Arms in Melb, they do awesome vegan pub food if you’re not set on anything too healthy, haha.
