We’re all brow obsessed so the lovely people at MAC have completely changed, revamped and re-released their collection – yay! With a fabulous range of products and an extensive range of shades it’s a collection that’s well worth looking into.
Pro Longwear Waterproof Brow Set – pictured above is shade Toasted Blonde
Designed to shade and define brows this product has a great light formulation. It hasn’t got the most concrete ‘set in stone’ hold for the hairs so it’s best suited to those who want to set everything in place but don’t have issues with crazy brow hairs having a mind of their own (like me). There are six new colours and although the shade above is slightly too warm for me it’s great to see two blonde options which is rare for a brow collection.
Big Brow Pencil – pictured above is shade Coquette
The odd ball I didn’t think I would enjoy turned out to be my current go-to quick brow saviour. It’s a chubby mechanical pencil that is designed to help you achieve full brows quick. The formulation is really as described, a hybrid texture, somewhere in-between a wax and powder which is great if you want a one stop wonder because it gives you some hold. This one is probably best suited for those who already have a full brow and just need a little more definition rather than building up a brow shape.
Eyebrows – pictured above is shade Brunette
Unlike the Big Brow Pencil the small nib on this allows for really precise working throughout the brow and makes defining the arch and tail so easy. It’s a mechanical pencil meaning no sharpening and it’s formulation is creamy but nothing too creamy so it allows you to build the brow gradually. If you like taking your time with feathery strokes then this is a fab option. There is a total of ten shades so there is a great range to choose from and it’s a great pencil to work with all that’s missing is brush at the other end for combing out the brows!
Brow Duo – pictured above is shade Blonde
Now these duos have been in the states for years because I’ve had one for a long time and now they’re in Australia I’m jumping for joy! If you’re an eyebrow newb I recommend trying out a powder and eyebrow brush for optimal control. These duos come with one matte and one satin so you’re able to customise a shade to suit your brows. I’ve always the matte shade then only opted for the satin when I want a quick bit of colour on the eye. This is a great one if you’re always travelling too.
Veluxe Brow Liner – shade above is Omega
Last up is more of a traditional brow pencil that has the spoolie on the other end and requires sharpening. I’ve been really enjoying this one because it’s very pigmented but quite a hard pencil meaning you have lots of control when building up the brow. The spoolie is a great addition because it’s something most of us use when filling in our brows so I feel it’s a bit of a must with pencil products. Again another product that has ten shades available so you’re bound to find something to match!
