THE WEEKLY NOTES #50 #everydaymta finished, the long weekend & organising samples

WE DID IT!

I actually cannot believe that we made it through the month of May and I posted something new every single day. It’s crazy to think that in 31 days I uploaded 31 posts. I know it’s been overwhelming so there is a collation below if you want to check out any you’ve missed throughout the month. Now I’m going to be switching back to uploading every second day @ 8am EST because everyday is too much for me to handle in conjunction with my other job. I do always upload once or twice a day on Instagram though so be sure to follow me over there.

After May finished I did have a few days off blogging and then a few days off over the weekend from social media. Gone are the days where I feel like I need to be online 24/7 and I really want to focus on spending time filling up my tank over the weekends. It’s been refreshing to take a few days away and not have that looming guilt I once had.

I’ve been in overdrive organising my office and cleaning out samples only keeping things I will actually use. It’s a job I’ve been meaning to do for months and months but haven’t set out to do because it’s so overwhelming. Lots of people tell you to do it all in one go but honestly that would’ve taken me all weekend so I’ve just been chipping away at it when I have a spare hour and so far the progress has been good. My sister-in-law is involved with so many charities that she is going to take them off my hands and make sure they go to a good place.

Next weekend is the long weekend and it’s a weekend I always feel a little indifferent towards as it’s the weekend my Dad died all that time ago. Usually we don’t do anything big or crazy for it and this year is no different – we will work and then maybe doing a shopping trip to the city on Sunday. We will see! We originally wanted to go away and take Simba to the beach but Isaac got offered insane money to work Monday so it just makes sense to stay home.

  • Congrats on the daily posting! I know I wouldn’t be able to keep up, so that’s a really big achievement. And sorry to hear the long weekend always makes you think of your dad, but not in a good way. Hope you managed to have a nice enough time anyway lovely
